Since then I haven't received any information on the status of the order and have been unsuccessful in finding out information through the website.

Oster 4094 Classic Osterizer Blender, Chrome Review

(More customer reviews)We bought an Oster Beehive classic based on reviews here that said it had an ultra-strong, all-metal drive shaft. Well, we had it for a week when the "ultra-strong, all-metal drive shaft" sheared right off: it is actually all-rubber in construction: the metal does not go all the way through!

I called Oster, and they agreed to send a free replacement. It arrived today (after a two week period with no blender). My kids got excited and asked for smoothies. I very carefully followed the manual's instructions, filling it with juice and adding one, tiny, pathetic half-strawberry at a time. On the last one, there was a sickening clunk, and, you guessed it! The drive shaft sheared off again! This happened five minutes ago, and I will quite definitely not buy another Oster. There was no abuse or misuse here, folks: this product may be super solid, but the weak link is the rubber transfer coupling, and it WILL break, leaving you fifty dollars poorer.

Save your money.

MARTHA STEWART Silicone Igloo Cake Mold Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great mold.It comes with a cake mix recipe, or you can use a boxed cake mix (which is what I did).I used DH Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix.

Before baking the mix, coat the inside of the mold with butter or cooking spray.Then apply a light sprinkle of flour to cover the inside of the mold.(Tap lightly to remove excess flour).

Make the cake mix as directed on the box.Pour into the mold.Bake on a cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.

After 40 minutes, you will notice that the cake mix does not come up to the top of the mold.If you insert your spoon into the center of the cake, you will see it is still molten.Spoon out some of the insides and push up against the front door of the igloo and around the sides to make the shape more uniform.Put back into the oven.

Keep checking the igloo ever ten minutes thereafter with a toothpick to determine when it's finished.Mine was done after about an hour and ten minutes or so. After it completely cools, flip over onto a plate.It will fall right out of the mold.Dust with powdered sugar.

(More customer reviews)I've owned my BAMIX hand blender for the past 12-years.It has never let me down and it truly is the most versatile kitchen device in my arsenal of cooking appliances. The machine works well between mixing & blending items on a hot stove, to crushing ice in in a single glass for making margaritas, all within seconds apart.The open ended design allows it to get at all the material you are chopping & mixing, and clean up is truly fast and easy.I've recently bought another hand mixer this year, because I misplaced my BAMIX hand blender.Anyway, what a disapointment to find that this major-named-brand of mixer, only has one blade, and it can't fit into a normal drinking glass.This past month I found my tried-n-true BAMIX hand blender, and was so grateful that I threw out the practically new hand mixer.Now that's true dedication to a product.

I have not seen anything close to the design of this hand blender on the market to this day that can replace this amazing machine.My only complaint is that I wish the price would come down.After all, it is one of the most expensive hand blenders on the market, but it is certainly the best.

(More customer reviews)I don't have much I can say about the Bamix that hasn't been said by many others, but I felt compelled to at least say something about it. This thing is incredible!When we bought our unit, we also bought one of each size of the polycarbonate beekers. It turns out that while you can certainly mix things in any kind of container, the size and shape of these containers is very appropriate for keeping an even consistency in whatever you're mixing, so I am glad we also got them.

My wife immediately made mayonnaise, which she said was "amayonnaisingly easy".(And it was gourmet restaurant quality too.)
I made some "ice cream" out of some frozen organic raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, and mango. It was really awesome - I froze it right in the beeker, which has a nice tight-sealing lid.

The Bamix is super easy to clean - just run it for a few seconds in a beeker of water and hang it up. We keep it right next to the sink on the stand.While we don't use it every single day, we do use it a lot, and it has really added a lot of great new options for us in the kitchen.Oh - the raw soups are amazing too.

My rating of the Bamix: 6 stars out of 5. It met and even exceeded expectations, and it seems like it is made so well, I bet we will still be using this same unit in 50 years!
