(More customer reviews)Living in rural Maine, about the only place around here to get a hand mixer is WalMart.I was very unimpressed with the quality of the mixers that our store carried.I bought my last mixer there, and it didn't last a year.I have other Sunbeam products--an iron, a breadmaker--and have been pleased with their performance.I read a lot of the reviews here on Amazon before ordering my mixer.I agree with what most people say about it.It was well worth the price.It is a nice handling mixer, has good balance, and doesn't feel cheap.It has plenty of power to do anything that I need it for.I don't think I've even used the highest setting yet.The biggest test for any mixer I use is a big batch of chocolate chip cookies.This will work one up with ease. The only reason I hesitate to give it a five star rating is the fact that I haven't had it for a long time yet.If it lasts, it will be worth a 5.
