(More customer reviews)I got these specifically for the bread dough recipes in a book. They are just the right size and come with lids. Now, before you scoff, you should look at other similar containers - you have to buy the lids SEPARATELY which just seemed so strange to me. I am pretty happy with these - two is good because I can rotate them.

I gave them four instead of five because they came with some sort of light greasy coating that was nearly impossible to wash off. Dishwasher didn't take it off. Hand-washing with liquid dishsoap didn't take it off. I ended up soaking them in super-hot water with a little bleach to get it off. I'm sure it's something added in the manufacture, but had I not been inspecting them carefully, I might have missed the fact that it was not washing off very well. Now that they are clean, I love them!

(More customer reviews)We have only had this machine at home for a week, but the two batches of ice cream we have made so far have been wonderful.The first was the vanilla out of the recipe book and the second was a dulce de leche that I made up.Both were excellent.My wife, who normally can take or leave ice cream, said, "Is this what ice cream is supposed to taste like?"Fresh ingredients and this capable machine would seem to be the secret.

I gave the unit 4 stars because it is quite loud in operation.The noise is really the only drawback we have encountered thus far.

As a krumkakke iron it might fit your needs.

WMF Ice Scoop Review

(More customer reviews)This scoop matches the WMF Loft line.It is a bit on the smaller side but still works.It does a better job of scooping cubed ice or crushed ice, than it does with crescent shaped ice.

If you prefer to use the typical crescent shaped ice that many refrigerators make, I would suggest picking up the WMF loft tongs, instead.

All my bar tending tools are WMF (with the exception of the Rosle Bar Spoon, available here on Amazon).

It is also worth noting that the handle is thin, not round.You would see this if you saw a side profile of the ice scoop.

Solid investment, should last forever!

(More customer reviews)I think this is a great deal if you're looking for fun and tasty treats. The machine functions noticeably better if the included ice molds are used. Ice cubes work, but they take much longer to shave down and you will get chunkier shavings (which do not hold the flavor as well). When using the ice molds, make sure to let the ice block sit out for five to ten minutes before shaving ("tempering"), and you will end up with icy shavings closer to a snow texture.

The included syrups are tasty, sugary and perfect for drizzling over your shaved ice. I would recommend refrigerating your flavors, even though you don't have to, to slow down how fast they melt the shave ice. The other accessories are fun and would be great for a party, but I think reusable cone cups would be a better solution for day to day snacking.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The machine works well and isn't outlandishly loud (quieter with ice molds), and can turn out a full cone of shaved ice in under 30 seconds. The texture isn't what I experienced in Hawaii at the famous Waiola Shave Ice, but for the money, this is pretty close.

Tasty Tip: Place a ball of ice cream in a bowl and cover it with shave ice and syrup for a twist on this delicious treat.

Unfortunately the gold finish on this spade started to peel off after a month or so. The finish looks like either teflon or paint, I can't tell which. (More customer reviews)I picked up this ice cream scoop because it seemed like it would be great being able to push the back of the scoop to get the ice cream out.As it turned out you can't push it in far enough for it to really work well, and I think the plastic/rubber actually sticks to ice cream more than metal does.Ultimately I tossed this and am not looking at new scoops.I love my KitchenAid ice cream spade, but would like an actual scoop since sometimes the spade makes the scoops too wide.

Lekue Silicone Ice Cube Tray, Heart Review

(More customer reviews)This is great as an ice tray; you don't have to run water over the bottom, crack and twist the tray, and then get splintered ice, drips all over your kitchen, and too many or too few cubes. You don't have to turn it upside down; just push from the bottom and get exactly however many cubes--I mean, hearts! you want, with no breakage or mess. So I think it's a little more sanitary too--you don't have to handle the ice shapes much, or have them skittering all over the counter! The tray is a little soft and flexible so you do have to find a flat place in the freezer for it, and when I stacked another tray on top I got a little bit of "stickage" and a few misshapen hearts; not a big deal unless you wanted perfectly shaped decorative ice.

Tonight I also used them to make chocolates (by melting chocolate chips & peanut butter together), and am very pleased with how easy it is to remove the candies.I thought I might break the "points" off some of the hearts, but the silicone is stretchy so that didn't happen, and removing one doesn't disturb the others. These would make lovely butter pats too! Each well holds exactly one tablespoon of liquid.
