The cookie cutters are open on the top, so you have to shake the sand off around them without turning them over like a normal sand mold. It is nearly impossible to pick the cookies up (in the mold or out) with the spatula without messing them up. The bag also does not hold all of the pieces. It's a cute idea but not very practical for any young child -- or adult in my case!
